Quilt Quark Gallery - Nancy de Jong

I mentioned at the September meeting that I finished two projects early on during Covid, but realized I never submitted photos.

#1.  I started “Postcard from Sweden,” by Jeli Quilts at the GMQG retreat at Wild Acres in April 2019.  I finished it when I spent a week at a cabin in western NC the week everything started to shut down.  The cabin was the perfect place to hang it for a photo op!  I used leftover Kona fabric for the back design and quilted it with organic, wavy horizontal lines.

#2.  Someone left some beautiful fabric on the ‘Free to a good home” table last fall.  As soon as I saw it I, I knew it was talking to me and I knew exactly what I was going to do with it.  All of the fabric, Including the coordinating stripe, which is also on the inside, was on the table.  A HUGE thank you to whoever donated that!  I used the pattern “Riverside Tote” by Nana Quilts. I finally went to the downtown market two weeks ago and (almost) filled it up with farm fresh veggies.  Finished size is 18” x 15” x 6 1/2”.  I love it!!
