Quilt Quark Gallery - Elise Dunbar

Hello again!

I have a finished quilt to share. (Shocker, I know!) This dates back from January 2019 and Travis Seward’s first Block of the Month. His creative and fun BOM series began with the “Intersection Block” and I was HOOKED!  I loved the basket weave effect when the blocks were multiplied.  Little did I know that it would take 32 of them to complete the quilt top.  Travis was so wonderful to take the time to create a sewing plan for the baby quilt I wanted to create from his one design.  Thank you Travis!

I completed the top and shared it at the April 2019 guild meeting but it took until August 6, 2020, for me to actually complete the quilt.  My fabric choice was inspired by Heather Jones’ “Conservatory” fabric line, so I used that on the back of the quilt.  I straight-line quilted 1” apart and it’s super cuddly.

I am so happy I completed this beautifully designed quilt. It’s bright and fun and will make a child happy in our Philanthropy Project:  Quilts for Kids.

Happy Quilting!
