March 19, 2020 - Didi Salvatierra Class

Didi Salvatierra will be teaching a class called “So You Want To Hand Quilt?”  on Thursday March 19, 1-4 pm. PDF here. Sign-ups for this class are being handled by Beginnings Quilt Shop on Greenville Highway in Hendersonville.  Class size is limited.

March 20-22, 2020 - The Palmetto Quilt Guild in Hilton Head, SC, Bi-annual quilt festival will be held March 20-22, 2020 at the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort.  CANCELLED. Next festival will be in 2022.

#YeahThatQuiltGuild: Modern Quilting in Greenville, SC

The Greenville Modern Quilt Guild will showcase the work of our members in a special exhibit during QuiltFest Greenville, June 4 - 6 at the Greenville Convention Center. Would you like to submit a quilt to be included in the exhibit? Please review the guidelines in the Submission Form (Word version) (PDF version), complete the form, and submit with a photo of your quilt(s) by the April 19 deadline. Quiltfest Greenville: National Spring Competition 2020

Quiltfest Greenville is now accepting submissions for their juried competition in a number of categories: Traditional, Modern, Innovative, and wall hanging, with subcategories for hand pieced/appliqued/quilted and machine pieced/appliqued/quilted. The grand prize (Best in Show) is $2,500 and additional prizes range from  $100 to $700. The deadline for submitting quilts to the show is April 30 and the submission form, rules, instructions, and entry fee details are available at https://www.quiltfest.com/register/quiltfest-greenville-sc/national-spring-quilt-competition-2020/national-spring-competition-2020/.

(Note that quilts submitted for the Greenville Modern Quilt Guild's special exhibit cannot be entered into the juried show.)

JUNE 2020

June 4-6, 2020 - Quiltfest Greenville, 2020. For more information, visit the Quiltfest website. 

GCCA Modern Quilt Exhibit  The Greenville Center for Creative Arts will be hosting a modern quilt exhibit in their gallery in June 2020.  Six of our members will have quilts in the exhibit along with six modern quilters from outside the Greenville area.
