February 1, 2020 Designing Quilts with Notans with Lewis Carl
Come join us next Saturday, February 1, 2020 for our Program: Designing Quilts with Notans with Lewis Carl!
Lewis Carl, is a faculty member of the School of Fine Arts at Bob Jones University. In 2019 he presented a well received program on color and other considerations in quilt design. This year he will continue building on our knowledge by showing us how to use shape and value in quilt design. Although all of us do not design our quilts "from scratch", color, value and other technical art knowledge insures fabric selection and design that will yield a harmonious and expressive quilt.
Looking to fill the Board position of GMQG Secretary
The Guild is in need of a Secretary beginning after the February meeting. If you are looking for a great way to get more involved with the Guild, becoming the Secretary for the Guild is a great opportunity to support the guild and to get to know other Guild members better! If you think you might be interested, please feel free to ask Leigh Ann about it at the February meeting or email her at greenvillemqg@gmail.com.
The Palmetto Quilt Guild Quilt Festival
The Palmetto Quilt Guild in Hilton Head, SC, will hold their bi-annual quilt festival on March 20-22, 2020 at the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort.
