Ava called the meeting to order at 1:10 p.m.
Barbara Stroup shared that there are two workshops scheduled for 2024:
Programs for the new year:
January: Pat Merkle will share the Quilt As You Go method
February: We will feature our new members with mini trunk shows
March: TBD
April: Scott Murkin (@quiltdoc16) will be doing a Trunk Show and talking about his 2024 QuiltCon experience. He will have his quilts back from the show.
Darlene Sanford shared that the dues for 2024 are due by Jan 1. This is to enable the Membership Committee to be able to get everyone entered into the National Modern Quilt Guild in a timely manner.
Jill shared that the correct number of members is currently 71. There were 37 members in attendance for
November meeting and 4 guests: Diane Kent, Cindy Brothers, Anna Bowes and Donna Boylan.
There was a sign up sheet to RSVP for the Holiday Luncheon.
A drawing was done for those who wore name tags and two prizes were given out.
A “Master” directory went around the room. Members were to indicate if their information was accurate.
New members were to list their names on a separate sheet that was with the booklet.
Marilyn Hagopian is the Chairman of Quiltfest Mancusco. Marilyn shared with us requirements to enter your quilt in the show:
• No size restrictions
• Provide a value
• If value over $1,000 you need a certified appraisal
• Everything needs a sleeve
It was also mentioned that as attendance was low for last year’s show there’s a possibility that if not better
this year, this will likely be the final Quiltfest in Greenville. (Show Dates April18 – 20, 2024).
With regard to QuiltCon – it will be in Raleigh, NC from February 22 to 25, 2024. For more information, go to https://quiltcon.com/. We have more information at the guild after the first of the new year.

Show and Share:
After a short break, Cheryl Brickey presented a trunk show of quilts from her newest book Just Two Charm
Packs Quilts. Cheryl showed us different colorways for some of the quilts. Various quilts were made by some of our guild members. These quilts are larger than those in the prior book Just One Charm Pack Quilts.
Respectfully submitted,
