Quilts Made by Men - The Men Who Quilt: A Presentation by Travis Seward.
In 1992 The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum held its first show featuring quilts made by men. Novel at the time because quilting had been considered women's work, and few men were known to quilt. Since 1992, more men have emerged and are participating in the art and craft of quilting. Travis will highlight the work-quilts made by men and discuss the community of male quilters today.

Attention QuiltCon Entry Folks: Johnnie McKenzie would love for those of you who have entered a piece in QuiltCon to email her a photo and share a few moments of your inspiration in the February meeting. (johnniemckenzie@att.net).
April Speaker and Workshop: For the April 3rd members meeting, we will have Maria Shell as our virtual speaker. Her presentation will be on “Building Community Through Quilts.” Immediately following the guild meeting, she will also conduct a (virtual) workshop on “Making Prints Out of Solids.” The fee for the workshop is $25.00. More info to be shared at this Saturday’s meeting.

Looking for a volunteer to be the chair of a classified ads subcommittee to help establish policy for the Bylaws (what/whom to allow, fees, etc.). These classified ads would be shared on the blog or even Facebook listing items for sale or quilting services, for instance. The Board has some ideas and would like a member to assist in this endeavor. Contact Brooke if interested.
. Show & Share/Quilt Quark Gallery:
Send your photos of completed quilts to greenvillemqg@gmail.com to be shown at the next meeting and featured in Quilt Quark. Try to crop and make lighting adjustments before sending but if you cannot, don’t worry – we’ll do it!
. Meet a new Committee Chair this Saturday.
. Library: Remember to return checked-out guild books to Darleen Sanford.
. Our meetings for the first quarter will be on Zoom.

Reach out: Have you found yourself wondering about someone you used to see at in-person meetings? Take a minute to email or call someone to say hi, and invite them to the meeting this weekend. If you haven’t attended in a while, please know you are missed!
Stay in touch: Can’t remember the addresses offhand? Maybe this will help - our blog and Facebook page spell out our entire guild name using modernquiltguild within the address, while our email and Instagram addresses abbreviate it (“mqg”).
